The Past That Never Was
The gigantic wooden Lido ethno-style restaurant building in Riga is a lovely and funny fake with ambitious references to a mythical Latvian Golden Age with the touch of Disneyland. (Don´t get me wrong here, Riga is a very beautiful city otherwise).
